The Embassy of the Republic of Liberia in Abuja provides urgent assistance to Liberian citizens facing emergencies in Nigeria, Benin, or Equatorial Guinea. If you or a fellow Liberian is in danger, detained, stranded, sick, victim of abuse, missing, or experiencing any life-threatening situation, please fill out this form immediately.

The Consular Section prioritizes all distress cases with confidentiality, dignity, and urgency.

What Counts as a Distress Situation?

A Liberian citizen is considered in distress when experiencing:

  • Medical emergencies (hospitalization, serious illness, injury)

  • Arrest, detention, or legal trouble

  • Harassment, abuse, or domestic violence

  • Victim of fraud, trafficking, or exploitation

  • Lost passport / stranded traveler

  • Missing person reports

  • Loss of contact with next of kin

  • Death of a Liberian citizen abroad

  • Emergency repatriation needs

  • Students experiencing critical challenges

  • Financial vulnerability due to crisis situations
